Volunteering at Mark Twain

Mark Twain Elementary offers numerous opportunities to volunteer. Please make sure that you follow the district guidelines for VIPS so that you can volunteer throughout the year. 

HISD requires that all volunteers complete an online orientation and application for the safety of our students.  Volunteer opportunities include helping in the library, chaperoning a field trip, participating in a class party, etc.  Please take a few minutes to click on the following link to register for the 2025-2026 school year.  *VIPS registration must be renewed every school year.

 

VIPS

 

• It is a two-step process: 
  1. Complete the Orientation 
  2. Fill out the application (the application link is posted at the bottom under the certificate)
• At the “School Preferences” tab, select Twain Elementary
• At the “Functions” tab, check every function
• At the “Organizations” tab, select VIPS (Volunteers In Public Schools)
